Thunder Valley Speedway race September 7th. On Sunday, Sept. 7th, Thunder Valley Speedway in Massena, Iowa is having a Karts and Quads special. Along with our normal kart classes, we will be racing ATV’s. There will be the following classes for the flat track ATV’s. Pro, Intermediate, Beginner, Kids (120cc and below) and 4X4. Pro class will have a $200.00 to win payout, and cash going down to four or five places, depending on the number entered. Other classes will receive trophies. Entry fees are as follows for the ATV’s. $30.00 for Pro, $15.00 for Intermediate and Beginner and $10.00 for Kids and 4X4. For the ATV’s, tether cords, flat track tires, numbers and neck braces are recommended. Helmets and above ankle boots required. For the karts, we are running our normal classes, with additional purse for the Stock Mediums and the Junior II Heavy. There will be a $50.00 entry fee for those two classes, with a $250.00 payout for the 1st place finisher. We will pay down four places, and if the kart count is high, we will pay down additional places. For the other classes, normal entry fees and payouts / trophies will apply. Well will be starting hot laps at 12:00 noon, with heat races starting at 1:00. Anyone in the pit area will be required to have a pit pass, which is $12.00. We will be running a couple classes of karts and then a class or two of quads. This will give a little additional time between races for each class, but we will not be taking much for breaks. We hope to have all races completed and awards handed out by 6:00, so we can get everyone back on the road home in decent time. Calcium will be used on the track, and we are expecting there to be a wide racing surface. Anyone having any questions concerning the track or karts can call Rick at 712-779-0109.
